The Modular Home Process
| There are primarily four parts to building a modular home. You have the modular home itself, the land to put the home on, your land development expenses and then home finishing costs. In order to simplify and better understand this process, we'd like to take you through a step by step approach. | |
| StepOne: "The Home" Let's arrange an appointment here at Dante Builders. We'd like to get to know you and what your needs may be. We have a wide variety of floor plans and home styles. Decisions should be made on your floor plan and style of homes. nce you have decided on a design, style and floor plan, we can then make any desired adjustments to the floor plans. Then, it's off to the engineer. He will look the plans over to make sure that your home will be structurally sound and up to the state codes of Massachusetts. | StepThree: It's time to pick out the style of cabinets you want in your new kitchen, the sinks and faucets, countertops, carpeting, hardwood or tiled flooring, windows and doors, paint colors, trim styles, and so many other amenities. | StepFour: While the home is being built, Dante Builders, Inc. is at your site, pulling permits, excavating the land, pouring the foundation, and making arrangements for the timely arrival of your home. | StepFive: On the day that your modular home arrives at the site, we will have arranged to have a crane there to place it on your newly poured foundation.
| |
| StepSix: Once it is placed on the foundation, it is "buckled" down for tight fittings and then the "trim out" begins. | StepSeven: You will see on the inside, where your walls once separated, come together. You will find a few areas where there are small holes. These holes are to tie in the electrical fixtures and the plumbing. | | StepEight: Interior doors are hung, basement stairs are built, siding is blended between floors on the outside, plumbing and electrical are connected, sheetrock and compound closes up the holes and fixes any stress cracks from the travel, the paint is touched up and a couple other incidental items are taken care of at this point. The Occupancy Permit follows closely behind, and then you're in! | | | | | |
